Sai Baba Darshan news - Whitefield - Brindavan

April 28th: The sheer anticipation of catching a glimpse of the Avatar hurried me off my bed on this Sunday morning. As I started driving to Brindavan, my previous sojourns down this road came alive in front of my eyes. We used to go much earlier for darshan then. In the last few years Darshan time has got delayed a bit and Swami has become a bit distant physically. But none of that can deter us from driving to this Punyabhoomi to have the darshan of the Lord. HE ’came’ here after almost two years. Reached Brindavan by 8:00 AM to discover a long queue outside the Ashram. I quickly moved into the lines and am keen to enter inside. Once inside, huge floral toranams that read "Welcome to the Heart throb of Brindavan", "Om Sri Sai Brindavanagovindaya namaha", "We love you Swami - Your Boys". These were colorful and lovely. It seems Swami had hinted a few days ago at Parthi that HE would be going to Brindavan. So Brindavan appeared well prepared, almost. Inside the Ramesh hall, there were beautiful decorations and all these brought about a festive atmosphere. By 8:30AM, I am seated inside, somewhere in the annexe, my usual place! As I sit waiting for the music to be on, thoughts of bygone years again flash up, I blissfully reminisced the earlier darshans that HE had granted here. I recollected with gratitude the graceful walk, the blissful smile, the re-assuring hand and all that we were lucky to witness from close quarters earlier. There was not so much hope now. But believe me, just being there is a simply divine feeling. And again, I think it is about 12 hours since HE arrived here and already a sea of humanity has arisen and fallen at HIS feet to catch a glimpse! Of course, this is partly due to the information age that we live in, but above all HE attracts and we get attracted! Rest is incidental. As thoughts were rambling, the lights came up one by one and anticipation was filling the air, relaxed poses became alert, closed eyes opened and necks craned. And the music starts now... it is about to be 9 AM. In a few seconds, this gives way to Omkaras and soon we have Ganapati Om jaya Ganapati Om..... in the air. And there the Lord in splendorous Orange robe is coming on HIS mobile chair! Will HE turn this way, will HE go straight to the stage.... all these questions clutter the mind. Buddhi tries to calm the mind, and while this struggle is going on, HE makes HIS way and sits majestically on the stage looking at the vast ocean in front of HIM. Our thirsts have quenched, we have caught a glimpse of the loving Lord!!! At a time when we re thinking that even this Summer will go by without Bhagavan visiting Brindavan, HE came and filled our hearts. Bhajans go on.... alternating between gents and ladies. HE sits for about nine-ten bhajans and turns back. We feel thankful to HIM. We pray for a re-darshan quickly and get back.

Swami came on the dias at around 10:00 am Swami sat on the stage for about 15 minutes but there were no bhajans.
