Sri-Sathya-Sai-Aradhana-Mahotsavam

The programme commenced at 0820 hrs. with a lucid introduction by Sri Balaramachandran, an alumnus of SSSIHL. Speaking of Bhagawan, bringing in beautiful anecdotes, the speaker spelt out how important a tool musical prayer is, that could be termed as perhaps God’s only weakness.

Sai Pancharatna Kritis, fashioned in the popular Thyagaraja Pancharatna tradition, as the name indicates is a compilation of 5-gems set to five different ragas, focussing on different tenors.

The Kritis were: Pranamaami Sayeesha… in Ragam Gambhira Nattai, in Adi Taalam, Sadaa Bhavayami in Ragam… Mayamalava Gowla, in Adi Taalam, Charana Sevanam… in Ragam Arabhi, in Adi Taalam, Kaliyuga Avataari… Ragam Todi and Sathya Sai Avatara Vaibhavam… in Ragam Madhyamavarthi, in Adi Taalam. All the songs were composed by Dr R Vasanthalakshmi of Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music and music was composed by Sri Raj Kumar Bharathi, great grandson of illustrious freedom fighter and Tamil poet Subramanya Bharathiar. 22 gents and 20 ladies alongwith 6 girls participated in the hour-long concert.

It is said Nadopasana is singing one’s way into God’s Heart…Truly, this morning’s Musical Aradhana turned out to be an offering of countless feelings unto Sai – The Supreme. Compositions for the morning aptly captured the mood singing, Sathya Sai Sankirtanam, Atmanusandhanam… as one can reach Him through singing His glory…

24th April is not an easy day to cope with said Sri V Srinivasan, Member Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, addressing the august assembly on the occasion, next. We have to lead our lives super-charged with Sai, stressed the veteran speaker, exhorting the devotees to develop compassion, as exemplified by Bhagawan, in all walks of life. Calling on devotees to cast off differences of various denominations, Sri V Srinivasan concluded his spirited speech reiterating and emphasising that ‘Sai Is Parthi and Parthi Is Sai’, tagging his speech with a prayer to bless everyone with Unity, Purity and Divinity.

Bhagawan’s Divine discourse followed next, played on the public address system. The discourse, a narration of His Own Story of Uravakonda days, highlighted on the theme, how Bhagawan gave a promise to His physical mother Mother Easwaramma that He would never leave Puttaparthi.

Bhajans continued and ended with Mangala Arathi at 1045 hrs.

Earlier, owing to the special occasion, special rituals were conducted in the bhajan hall in the morning.

During the occasion, a grand Narayana Seva was organised at the Sri Sathya Sai Hill View Stadium, serving thousands.
