Thousands of devotees from Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh have come to Prasanthi Nilayam on their Parthi Yatra. This evening, they presented a drama by the balvikas children. Bhagawan came for darshan in the chair at 4.45 pm, and as He passed the drama backdrop, interacted with one of the alumni of the University here who was instrumental in giving shape to the drama. After Swami came onstage, the drama began at five o'clock. The devotion of the gopikas and other themes were presented through poems sung by Bhagawan in His Discourses, with touching Telugu dialogues. Bhagawan was very pleased with their presentation and blessed one of them with a chain even as the drama was going on. As the hour-long drama drew to a close, Swami came down from the stage for group photographs with the participants, and later sent clothes for distribution among them. Bhajans by the devotees commenced at 6.15 with prasadam distribution, and Swami accepted Arati twenty minutes later before returning to His residence in the car.

Om Sairam dearest Sai Family,
after a powerful Shivarathri celebrations and a power packed three PUPPET shows from brother Ajit Popat it was the turn of Swami's students to steal the show. This afternoon, the students of class 10 and 12 were blessed by Swami to share their heart breaking and hair raising stories with Swami and some incidents during their stay in the School. There were three students who introduced the audience the day's programme. Swami signalled for the programme to start. One student rose from his seat and in pure Sanskrit thanked Swami for giving him the opportunity to study in His institution and asked for His blessings to continue to be His instrument and Swami was so impressed that He responded with a sweet smile.

Later there was one student who rose and shared his story. 17 years ago one mother was pregnant. It was very difficult for the mother and the baby had to be born prematurely. The mother's father who was an anesthetist gave anesthesia and the baby's father who was also a doctor gave the treatment. The baby was born, blue in colour with leg not in good shape. All of them offered prayers to Swami and the baby whom they all thought would die, turned to pink and the leg got back to normal.
After a week or so the grand father who came for Swami's darshan, was confirmed by Swami Himself that He was the one who gave His helping hand on that day. The very same boy who was now 17,speaking before Swami, thanked Swami for giving a re birth and not just re birth but a golden chance to study in His institution

There was another boy who rose and said, Swami on one evening my mother brought me to this very same Kulwanth hall. I was just 2 years then not knowing exactly who You were, I was told that there is one Baba who is God. All of them were waiting for Swami and when Swami came out the boy who was just 2 years old started saying loudly to his mother, Mother! Baba's hair is so beautiful. Mother tried to silent the baby as one has to maintain silence during darshan. The boy was in no mood to be silent and definitely not so after seeing those beautiful hair. Swami directly came to the boy and gave a beautiful smile. The boy amidst loud applauds and making every one smile, said, Swami 17 years after that incident, even today Your hair is so beautiful and it was a treat to watch Swami when the boy told that to Swami. Swami didn't feel shy but it was an expression closer to that....Swami is such a charmer many a times He seems to be very much human..

February 26, 2009

Another boy rose from his seat and when he shared this story it was very emotional and brought tears to many of us. he said, Swami, one 9 month old boy suddenly had a very high temperature. He was the only boy to the parents. The temperature was so high that the boy suddenly stopped crying. the eye balls went up and the body was motionless. Not knowing what to do , the mother ran up to the puja room. praying to Swami she said, Swami! he is the only child for me please save him and Swami assured the mother that All will be ok. In 10 minutes the baby got back to normal.. Amidst loud applauds and dampened eyes.. the boy said.. Swami!! the same baby after 17 years is standing before you offering humble salutations at your lotus feet for your kindness to listen to a mother's prayer

Another boy sharing his story said, it was on the first day in primary school. I was badly missing my mother and was crying the whole night. Suddenly my mother appeared right next to me and she made me sleep. The next Sunday when my parents came to see me I shared the incident and thanked my mother for coming and my mother was in tears. She knew it was Swami who came in her form to console her baby. The boy narrating this incident, got very emotional and hearing his shivering voice made all of us more emotional. Swami blessed the boy by raising His hand and it was just beautiful to watch the whole episode.

Now it was the turn of a overseas boy whose brother is also studying here. It so happened during some sports rehearsal Swami called the boy and asked where is your brother to which the boy replied my brother is in the sports rehearsal. The next day during darshan, wami asked his brother the same question and the boy replied Swami I was in the sports rehearsal. Now Swami calls this boy and asks where is your brother? The boy who was now little bit surprised and confused said, Swami you just spoke to my brother to which Swami said, no ALL ARE YOUR BROTHERS. Just an example how Swami teaches equanimity in a simple way. The boy later sang few telugu lines from Humko TumsePyar kitna bhajan Neevu leni maa jeevanam (a life without you) neeru leni chepa vedanam(is like that of a fish out side water).Needu choope prana samanam(your one look is full of life) Meedi maadi Oke bandamu (our relationship is only one) Adiye prema bandamu (that is the bond of LOVE). Swami was so impressed by those lines and smiled back at the boy... It was just beautiful to see the students share their stories and also a treat to watch Swami's expressions when His students thanked Him for all that He has done for them. Swami then called the principals and had a bit lengthy talk with them. Swami seemed very very happy and He came down all the way from the stage to take pictures with His CHOSEN ones. After 2 bhajans arathi was given to Swami, thus ending a beautiful day full of SAI LOVE..

Right now there are about 2,500 devotees from Adilabad district from the state of Andhra Pradesh on a three day Parthi Yatra. Swami has blessed them by permitting to perform before Him play today so another extended Darshan session is in the offering.. Thank you Dear Lord...
With humble pranams at the lotus feet of our beloved Lord.

This evening, Bhagawan came for darshan after the five o'clock bhajans commenced. Sitting onstage for a while, He asked for Mr. Ajit Popat from the UK. After a brief interaction with him, Sri Popat spoke for fifteen minutes on the rarity of Human birth. Bhagawan then asked for the mics to be brought and spoke for nearly an hour. He went over the trio of Fear of Sin, Love of God and Morality in society and also spoke about the necessity to have names which invoke positive feelings. After His Discourse, Swami accepted Arati and returned to His residence at 7 pm.

The night-long bhajans continued this morning with the mics being turned on at 8 o'clock. Bhagawan arrived in Sai Kulwant Hall at 8.30 after first giving darshan at the Poornachandra hall where the devotees who couldn't be accommodated in the Sai Kulwant Hall were seated. As He came to the centre of the hall, He moved towards the outer gates and blessed the prasadam arranged there for feeding the mammoth crowd. Clad in a maroon robe, Swami sat onstage after going around the entire Hall and completing a second round of the ladies' side. Just after nine o'clock, He asked for the Arati and the bhajans concluded and the prasadam distribution began. Tamarind rice and laddoos were served to all in leaf plates as Bhagawan sat onstage and watched. After sitting onstage for nearly forty-five minutes during the prasadam distribution, Swami returned to His residence. In the evening, the bhajans went on for more than an hour with Swami seated onstage for the last half-hour, accepting Arati just after six o'clock.

A rare initiative, unprecedented in the history of Prasanthi Nilayam, was taken up by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. A group of holy ascetics, 13 sadhus and 6 sadhunis from the valley of Blue Mountains in Tamil Nadu where brought to the Spiritual epicenter in Andhra Pradesh, Prasanthi Nilayam for the holy darshan of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The Nilgiris, popularly known as the fairyland of Tamil Nadu is a marvellous natural wonder, an epitome of God’s creative craft in pristine perfection, where mother nature bejewels herself with exquisite repertoire of native boons.

Passing through the times in several centuries, the Nilgiris, the blue mountains of Southern India has been going through rich cultural evolution from time to time, from the times of the Cheras and Cholas through to the times of Pandyas, to the Hoysalas, to British to the present day. While carving a niche in the tourism map of India, this blue mountain valley was doubly lucky with its spiritual evolution, as the spiritually bent, renunciates, saints and sadhus have taken shelter on the vast terrains down the hills, establishing number of ashrams. And over the years, the valley has been witnessing spiritual renaissance with all these various mutts and ashrams attracting hundreds of thousands of devotees.

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations upholding the true spirit of Bhagawan’s teachings, Love All Serve All; Help Ever Hurt Never has been actively serving these ashrams, with its volunteer force, during major festivities in each one of these ashrams numbering over fifteen. The rapport that was built, not by preaching but through precept indeed evoked greater interest in these ashrams and inmates to know the fountainhead, the main inspiration behind this selfless motive. The story of God walking on two feet was introduced with the fabric of Prasanthi Nilayam in detail. …And this service has been going on for past more than 15 long years. The district Sai Organisation would conduct Sadhana Camps in many of these ashrams in rotation and for many of the organizational activities, these holy men and women would be invited to speak on Bhagawan and spirituality.

Narrating the entire exercise of organizing the pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam, Dr. Vasu, District President of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations was candid in his view saying, it was at the instance of some of these holy men who were curious to come to the Lotus Feet that the entire initiative got incited. “We are all growing old, when are you taking us to Prasanthi Nilayam” was the common question posed by these holy men and women and there began the initiative. Inspired by the request, the organizational office-bearers tendered invitations to each of these holy men and women to join the Yatra and the response was absolutely positive, says Dr. Vasu, politely acknowledging Bhagawan’s greater magnanimity behind the success story. Having got the clue of their greater desire to come to Prasanthi Nilayam, he said, the coordinators made a silent prayer at His Feet during their previous visit.

Talking about the response from Prasanthi Nilayam, He was beaming with joy at the arrangements made to host and house these holy ascetics. While all of them were allotted special rooms with volunteers to attend to their needs, special darshan slots, some of the senior sadhus were seated on the dais at the special instance of Bhagawan. During the course of darshan Bhagawan had interacted with many of them.

The Sadhus and Saints came over include, Sri Sivaprakash Swamigal or Sri Sarguru Rajayoga Madalayam, Sri Rajuswamy Adigalar of Sri Sivananda Tavakudil, Sri Ramananda Swamigal of Sri Sivananda Ashram, Sri Guru Krishnanandaji Maharaj of Annamalai Ashram, Sri Guru Suyanjothi Swamigal of Sri Sarguru Sathya Raja Yoga Seva Gnanashramam, Swami Swaswarupananda of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Swami Sugunanda Puri of Kailash Ashram, Swami Shanmugananda of Sri Sivananda Ashram, Swami Guruprakash Swamigal of Sri Sarguru Ashram, Swam Swamprakashananda of Sri Ramanashramam, Swami Vedanthananda os Sri Saratha Brahma Vidya Kendra, Sri Sivananda Swamigal of Annamalai Ashram, Swami Kailayananda Sivam of Bettati Village, Swami Saradananda of Sri Ramakrishna Tapovanam, Sanyasini Guru Poornajothi of Sri Sarguru Sathya Raja Yoga Seva Gnanashramam, Sanyasini Gurupriyananda of Sri Saratha Brahma Vidya Kendra, Mathaji Anandananda Mayee of Annamalai Ashramam, Sanyasini Mangammal of Sri Sivananda Thavakudil, Sanyasini Guru Parvathajothi, Sri Sarguru Sathya Raja Yoga Seva Gnanashramam, Sanyasini Meenakshiammal of Sri Sivananda Thavakudil.

Unflinching love and devotion of Gopis and Gopalas to Bhagawan Sri Krishna was the theme of a cultural programme, a folklore dance programme titled Brindavan Folk Dance staged by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Nilgiri District, Tamil Nadu, on the 17th evening in the immediate Divine Presence. Pleased by the fine portrayal, the group was blessed with a coveted photo session; Bhagawan materialized a chain for the ‘Krishna’ character – an act of Divine appreciation.

Over the years, Ooty had been blessed with the Divine visits of Bhagawan. Recalling the Divine back to the Blue Mountains, the District Sathya Sai Organisation has built a beautiful palatial building to house Bhagawan and His activities. Built in over 3500 sq. ft. area, this Pentagon shape architectural marvel is waiting for the Lord to set His feet in... -
